What it does

ArtQuiz is a pocket gallery: 175 paintings, frescoes and prints, each with its artist, year, movement, museum and a short story. The images are public-domain reproductions from Wikimedia Commons, and the facts come from Wikidata.

Seven kinds of quiz teach recognition rather than memorising: who painted this, what is it called, which movement, which is older, put in order, spot the artist, and where does it hang. The result is a gallery wall of the answered works in green and red frames, and a timeline of periods.
